Statement

I have a background in science which is reflected in my creative practice. I believe both disciplines ask the same questions, they simply differ in their means of providing answers. I'm fascinated by technology, numbers, code, genetics, ingredients, maps and patterns. In all these order and chaos seemingly existing in harmony. This is in turn expressed in the works I produce, these feature a high degree of repetition, of marks, shapes, sounds or materials, something controlled, ordered and compulsive presented simultaneously with something more chaotic and free.
